I try to recycle any textiles that come my way. A mound of damaged tassels therefore needed attention last summer and truthfully I hadn’t an idea what to do with them!
A few were deconstructed to learned how they were made and some were mended.

I got hooked, wanting learn more about passementerie which is sadly a dying craft in the UK. Workshops were too expensive and far away, so I bought some books – this meant more could be repaired and restored.
I decide to create some from scratch…using mountains of salvaged threads, cords and fabric offcuts saved. It got rather exciting. Naturally, exploring using other preloved materials was necesssary and the results are quite varied – each is unique!

A real challenge came when trying to create pairs!

This is a bit of a sneak peek about what’s to come…they are currently being finished off and the aim is to have them in store by the end of this summer.
I’ve loads of ideas for new tie-back designs so watch this space!
Why not check out my store or pop onto INSTA and see what’s happening my end?
